The school library program serves to instill a love of reading, inspire life-long learning, and foster independent library use. Students visit once a week with their class to check out materials and to practice information literacy skills and digital citizenship. Cathy Wachs is the librarian and her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Overdue Book Policy
- Library books are due on their scheduled library day.
- Every school day the book is late, there is a 2¢ fine.
- If your child was sick, the fine for that day and any subsequent days will be forgiven.
- If you are going on vacation, books need to be returned/renewed before you leave, otherwise late fines will be charged.
Overdue fines may be paid in two ways:
Money or a can of food. One can of food = $1. If you pay a 15¢ fine with a can of food, there will not be a credit for the remainder dollar. All cans of food will be donated to a local food bank. Cans of food will not be accepted for lost or damaged books.
Lost or Damaged Books
Students must pay for or replace the book before they are allowed to checkout another book.
