Board To Narrow Superintendent Finalists survey

D91's Board of Trustees will meet at 1 pm Thursday, March 4, to discuss the candidates who are hoping to be D91's next superintendent. Learn more about candidates. The board also plans to determine the finalists and discuss next steps in the superintendent search process. See the full agenda. The meeting will be livestreamed. Compass Deadline is March 4 compass

If your 8th grader is thinking about attending Compass Academy, don't miss the Open House scheduled from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 2. You'll have the chance to tour the school, ask questions and meet facilitators and staff. Compass Academy is D91's magnet high school, which offers a unique experience for students who are interested in tackling challenging problems and completing projects that answer intriguing questions. Applications are due by March 4.

D91 Schools Return to 5 Days March 8 Update

The Idaho Falls Board of Trustees held a work session today to discuss D91’s COVID-19 Operational Response Plan. After reviewing local conditions, as well as input from parents and staff, the board voted to make the following changes to the district’s plan:

  • 5 Days A Week: Effective Monday, March 8, all D91 schools will return to a five-day-a-week schedule with Late Start on Fridays.
  • Masks Will Be Required: D91 will continue to require masks in all schools, offices, classrooms, common areas and buses when social distancing isn’t possible.

The Board of Trustees will continue to monitor conditions, consult with health officials and may make other changes to the COVID-19 Operation Plan as necessary. Click here to view D91 COVID Data.

Seeking Input on Chemistry Resources chemistry

D91 strives to educate all students in science and engineering knowledge and practices. As we work to implement Idaho's new science standards, D91's chemistry curriculum team recommends adopting digital and print resources from Experience Chemistry. We invite parents and patrons to review the brochure, take an interactive tour of the program, explore the digital guide to the program and provide input through this survey High School Chemistry Adoption Review. The teacher's edition and student editions will also be displayed in the District Office over the next 30 days.  

Board Ask Patrons To Renew Levy on March 9 levy

The Idaho Falls Board of Trustees is asking D91 patrons to renew the supplemental levy that generates $6.8 million a year in critical funding for Idaho Falls’ schools. Patrons will go to the polls on March 9. The supplemental levy has been in place for more than 30 years. The amount of the levy has not changed since 2003, but Idaho law requires patrons to renew supplemental levies every two years.
